It is that time of the year again when jeans and dresses are given some rest for a while and ethnic apparels are brought out of the wardrobe and donned in all their glory. It is the time of lights. It is the time of festivals. And leading the way are the celebrities who are not only showing us how to get ourethnic game right, but are also giving us tips, in their own little ways on how to give an interesting twists to them. And while we gape at how stunning they look in their shimmery outfits, there is always a risk of overdoing things while emulating the stars.
Recently television actress Mouni Roy, who is known for her impressive sartorial choices, showed us just how to nail an understated ethnic look and yet stand out from the crowd. The actress, who was attending a Diwali party, was seen wearing a plain beige coloured lehenga skirt, and teamed that up with a gorgeous off-shoulder blouse. The Roshni Chopra creation had a delightful balance of colours. The orange, pink and yellow thread work in the off-shoulder blouse and the silver and bronze detailing in it beautifully complemented the plain skirt and the actress looked absolutely lovely. She shared the pictures on her Instagram account.
Sticking to the traditional look, Roy accessorised the ensemble with beaded choker and lovely jhumkas. We love the panache with which she pulled off the maang tika and the fact that she tied her hair in a neat bun and styled it with a gajra. An ensemble like that deserves all the attention and Roy ensures that it happens that way.
