This year Diwali saw a lot of lavish bashes, which were attended by a number of Bollywood stars. Rani Mukerji, who will be seen making her comeback to the big screen next year also hosted a party last night which was graced by the likes of Deepika Padukone, Karan Johar and Neil Nitin Mukesh, but it was the host herself who grabbed eyeballs and for all the wrong reasons.
Mukerji wore a bright pink long kurta with a matching lehenga from Raw Mango with gold embroidery on it. The actress accessorised her outfit with a layered necklace, gold maang tikka and kadas. Put together, we think the 39-year-old went overboard with her styling. In other words, she looked gaudy.

Another actress who was seen wearing pink on Diwali night was Sonakshi Sinha for Anil Kapoor’s Diwali party. Although her look is better than Mukerji’s, the actress still failed to impress us. She wore a relatively lighter pink coloured outfit by designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. The lehenga was heavily embroidered with Lucknowi work and she teamed it with an embellished halter neck blouse and a matching dupatta.
Styled by Mohit Rai, we love her beauty look though. With hair tied up in a neat bun, she rounded it out with kohled eyes, pink lips a pink bindi, silver danglers and a huge ring.
